Clearing jungle to find amber and decoding it to unlock new species.
The core gameplay loop was simple but addicting. Players started with a small plot of land on Isla Nublar, needing to clear jungle and debris to expand their park. The main goal was to collect dinosaur DNA from amber fragments and use it to hatch, feed, and evolve over 44 different species of dinosaurs. The game launched with over 30 species, including iconic dinosaurs like the Tyrannosaurus rex , Velociraptor , and Brachiosaurus . To keep the experience fresh, subsequent updates added two entirely new park types: an Aquatic Park with 43 different sea creatures, and a Glacier Park in Patagonia featuring 43 Cenozoic animals like the famous Woolly Mammoth.
