Wellness is not a punishment for what you ate. It is a celebration of what your body can do.

A landmark 2016 study published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics compared diet-based weight loss interventions versus Health at Every Size (HAES) interventions. The results were stunning. While dieters lost weight initially but gained it back (plus more), the HAES group showed sustainable improvements in eating behaviors, self-esteem, and depression. They also maintained steady physical activity levels—not because they had to, but because they wanted to.

Ignoring internal hunger or fullness cues in favor of rigid tracking apps.

She adds, “True body positivity says: you are worthy of care, pleasure, and nourishment exactly as you are today. That’s actually the foundation of real wellness.”

Unfollow accounts that promote unrealistic body ideals, restrictive diets, or body shame. Fill your feed with diverse body types and creators who focus on holistic health.

Make a list of every form of movement you enjoyed as a child. Swimming? Biking? Trampolines? Roller skating? Try to do one of those things for 15 minutes this week. No tracking, no heart rate monitor. Just joy.

As we journey towards body positivity and wellness, we may encounter setbacks and challenges along the way. We may face criticism or skepticism from others, or struggle with internalized negative self-talk. But we must remember that this journey is not just about us – it's about creating a culture that values and respects all bodies, regardless of shape, size, or appearance.

Diet culture relies on external rules, calorie counting, and forbidden food groups. Intuitive eating, a framework created by dietitians Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch, flips this paradigm by teaching individuals to trust their internal hunger and fullness cues.

Surround yourself with friends, family, or fitness groups who celebrate what your body can achieve rather than analyzing its appearance.

So today: Drink water because you're thirsty. Stretch because you're tight. Eat because you're hungry. Rest because you're tired. No moralizing required.

Care for the body you have now , not the one you think you need later. 💛 #BodyPositivity #Wellness

If you are exhausted or sore, choose a restorative stretch or rest day over a high-intensity workout. 3. Mental and Emotional Self-Care

When applied to personal wellness, body positivity shifts the motivation for healthy habits. In the past, people often exercised or restricted food out of self-punishment or a desire to shrink themselves. When integrated with a wellness lifestyle, these same actions are driven by self-care, longevity, and vitality.

IYTTIW sample set

IYTTIW stands for "If You Think This Is Weird". A very unique set based on original trumpet samples. Its diminutive size packs a big sound. Perfect on its own or for doubling other sounds. I played and recorded some trumpet and made samples from the performance. I then resynthesized the samples to alter their timbral and spectral quality. In some, you can still hear the trumpet and there are others where their origin is well hidden.

It was originally a commercial set that is now free. It contains 41 regular multi-sampled programs without velocity. All are short sounds, no pads here. It's very well-suited for staccato playing and sequencing.

It has 551 samples for a small size of 15.7 MB and is offered in the following formats: wav, sfz, soundfont, Native Instruments Kontakt 3.5 or better (full version, not the free Player).

All formats are in this single DOWNLOAD

Kontakt 3.5 version additionally has 21 multis and 50 instruments made with the Tone and Time machines that greatly expand its sound palette. These stretched instruments usually have longer durations than the basic samples, 14 of them with sustain.

Here's an audio example using a few samples with pitch randomization:  IYTTIW in QuadZamp
