Thirty years later, Om is reborn as Om Kapoor, the son of a legendary 70s superstar. Unlike his previous life, Om Kapoor (OK) is a pampered, arrogant, and successful superstar. However, he experiences flashes of his past life when he visits the ruins of the old film set. Upon recognizing Mukesh Mehra (now a successful Hollywood producer known as Mike), OK, along with his friend from his past life (Shreyas Talpade) and his mother (Kirron Kher), hatches an elaborate plan to expose Mukesh and avenge Shanti’s death.
For fans of Shah Rukh Khan and lovers of Bollywood drama, Om Shanti Om remains a high-energy entertainer that perfectly encapsulates the "King Khan" charm.

The story takes a tragic turn. Shantipriya is secretly married to the powerful but villainous producer Mukesh Mehra (Arjun Rampal), who will stop at nothing to protect his image. When Om discovers her secret, he is caught in a web of deceit, and in a dramatic fire at a film studio, he perishes trying to save her, dying with a heart full of unfulfilled love.
As the 1970s Om Prakash, he brings an endearing vulnerability, naive charm, and relatable hunger. His monologue about how the universe conspires to help you achieve your dreams if you want it badly enough ("Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai...") remains one of the most quoted dialogues in Indian pop culture.
The film’s story is split across two distinct eras, unified by the theme that "for some dreams, one lifetime is not enough". Summary and Review: Om Shanti Om (2007) Aug 10, 2566 BE —
